SEC NRS hosted 10th VVERWG meeting

On May 23-24, 2018, SEC NRS hosted the 10th meeting of the VVER Working Group of the Multinational Design Evaluation Programme (MDEP VVERWG) with participation of representatives of regulators – STUK (Finland), HAEA (Hungary), NNSA (China), AERB (India), TAEK (Turkey), SEC NRS (Russia) and NEA OECD.

During the meeting the participants discussed the outcomes and action plan of MDEP VVERWG and its technical expert sub-groups.

On May 25, 2018, the Workshop «Construction of New VVERs in VVERWG Member-Countries» with participation of the representatives of the regulatory authorities, TSOs, licensees and NPP’s owners, supply organizations, design organizations  was organized by SEC NRS at ASE JSC EC premises.

The Workshop consisted of three Sessions. The Session 1 included the presentations from NEA OECD on MDEP background, purpose, structure, as well as the presentations on results and future plans from VVERWG and its subgroups. The Session 2 included the presentations from Russian design and vendor organizations on new VVER designs. The Session 3 included the presentations VVERWG member-countries’ industry organizations.
