Development of the Draft Federal Safety Regulations
29.03.2021
The draft Federal Safety Regulations "Requirements to Safety Analysis of Strength of the Reactor Vessel, Equipment, Pipelines and Reactor Internals of a Lead-Cooled Nuclear Power Installation" was developed. The Regulations were intended for lead-cooled nuclear power installations to stipulate the requirements to safety analysis of strength of the equipment, pipelines, reactor internals, reactor vessel and components, which are in continuous or periodic contact with the lead coolant and (or) shielding gas upstream of the first isolation valve or hydraulic lock from the reactor vessel, as well as of the equipment and pipelines of the secondary steam-water circuit from the steam generator downstream to the second valve (isolation or check valve) from the steam generator side. The requirements cover all the elements and components subject to design-basis loads and falling within the scope of the Federal Safety Regulations in the field of atomic energy use "Rules for Design and Safe Operation of the Reactor Vessel, Equipment, Pipelines and Reactor Internals of Lead-Cooled Nuclear Power Installations", for which:
The requirements are mandatory for operating organizations, as well as organizations performing works and rendering services in the field of atomic energy use. Draft documents are available on our website in the section "Draft Regulatory Documents" and on the official website of Rostchnadzor in the section "Development of Rostechnadzor Regulatory Legal Acts".
